Between 1998 and 2003, a large number of paper and electronic records from the former St. Maren Hospital were transferred to long-term storage. Portions of the original patient index were later found to be incomplete, damaged or incorrectly assigned.
The Archive Recovery Initiative was established in 2006 to identify surviving records and restore associations where possible. A limited electronic comparison service remains online for records that could not be assigned during the original recovery work.
